Exciting pool update!:

We've got some really exciting news to share with you, we're getting a new pool! For the work to take place the pool will be closed from Sunday 15th February. If you want to understand how this will impact you, or find out more head on over to our blog. Thank you for your understanding. 
Pool Closure - 14th January:

The female poolside showers are temporarily out of action while we give them some TLC. If you’d like a post-swim shower, please use the female dry-side changing rooms (we recommend bringing an extra towel).

Poolside changing rooms remain open for changing only.

We're getting a new pool!

We've got some really exciting news to share with you, we're getting a new pool!
From Sunday 15th February, our swimming pool will be closed for 18 weeks - but it's for a really good reason. We're giving the pool a makeover and bringing you a brand-new pool! 

What's changing?

  • A brand-new pool - As you'll have seen our pool needs a little TLC, we've been doing some repairs but it's time for a long-term fix. We're digging up the entire pool and starting fresh, with a brand-new pool floor and lining that's built to last. Don't worry, our beautiful mural is staying right where it is. 
  • Greener and more energy efficient - We're completely refurbishing the plant room and installing a new air source heat pump, stabilising the water temperature, making the pool more energy efficient and better for the environment.

This amazing project has been made possible by Sport and Arts in the Community South West Shropshire (SpArC) trust raising significant funds to make this happen, with support from Shropshire Council and energy grants. It's been a real community effort from all of you, and something we’re incredibly proud of.

How will this impact you? 

The rest of the centre will be open as usual during the pool makeover and our fitness team will be standing by ready to help you mix up your training in the gym. Check out our gym page to find out more.

We know how much you all love a swim, and we truly appreciate your patience as we make these upgrades. If you don't want to miss out on your swim or swimming lessons, you can transfer to one of our sister centres while the work is on-going, give us a call on 01588 630243 and our reception team will support you with this.
