Make Theirs Magic Christmas Toy Appeal
We are delighted to announce that we are launching the Make Theirs Magic Toy Appeal, in partnership with national charity Family Action.
The Make Theirs Magic Toy Appeal will see children’s toys collected on site and distributed to children and young people in our communities, providing them with a gift they may otherwise not have had.
For many of us, Christmas is a magical time. However, for many of the families that Family Action work with, it can be a time of stress and financial worry. In a survey carried out by Family Action, 1 in 7 parents can’t afford a present for their child this Christmas.
Over the past 5 years, Family Action have distributed over 50,000 presents to children in challenging circumstances across the country. With your support, we want to help make Christmas magic for even more children and their families — and help keep the magic of Christmas alive!
How can you support the Make Theirs Magic Toy Appeal?
We are asking local people to donate new and unwrapped gifts. We are particularly looking for gifts for children age 1 – 5 years.
From Tuesday 21st November, there will be a dedicated ‘Toy Appeal bin’ for you to drop-off your gifts, which will be in our centre until 11th December. These will be collected and distributed to families in time for Christmas.
